THE FORGOTTEN GRAPE VARIETIES
Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay are the main grape varieties in the whole Champagne region... they alone represent 99.7% of the Champagne vineyard! The remaining 0.3% is dedicated to the cultivation of old grape varieties also known as "lost"! Among them, we find : Arbanne, Petit Meslier, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. We have selected 2 of them which come to us directly from the Aube region in Ville-Sur-Arce (South of Champagne) to help you discover the beautiful diversity of these sparkling wines!

FROM FLOWER TO BUNCH
VINE FLOWERING
At the beginning of June, sometimes even at the end of May, the vine produces flowers and this is when they appear (SEE PHOTO ABOVE)... this is called Flowering. At this stage, the Champagne Houses and the Winegrowers can "predict" the date of the future harvest!! It will take about 100 days to see the beautiful bunch of grapes appear at full maturity (SEE PHOTO BELOW).
