Welcome to your online wine merchant: The Champagne Ambassador

My name is Massimo, I'm originally from the Mons region of Belgium. I started tasting my first bottles of Champagne in 2006 for my own personal enjoyment. This sparkling wine immediately sparked a great interest in me, which led me to taste more and more Champagne over the years. As this passion grew, I decided in 2019 to leave my native Belgium to live in the heart of the Champagne vineyards.

With all this general knowledge about Champagne and its region that I have acquired throughout these years, I decided to train in Champagne wine tourism. I also trained as a Sommelier and in Champagne wine marketing at the VitiCampus in Avize, located in the heart of this magnificent village classified Grand Cru in the Côte des Blancs.

After all these training courses, rich in knowledge and encounters, I became a Guide and subsequently Sommelier in a Champagne House within the prestigious LVMH group, which includes 6 beautiful Champagne Houses. Being passionate and very interested in the geology of the Champagne soil, I began to expand the range and I tasted my first Champagnes from Vignerons in 2015, in parallel with the Champagnes from Grandes Maisons that I had been used to tasting for several years!

Being aware of this beautiful and great diversity, I was keen to share my Passion in the country where I was born: Belgium. So I decided to create my own Champagne Import company in 2020 under the name “The Champagne Ambassador” in order to be an Ambassador of Champagne in Belgium. Over time, ideas grow with one single goal: To make you discover Champagne differently..! That's why I created an online Cellar to also give you an educational experience. With the help of my wife Irina who has just joined the adventure, all the digital and administrative part is in good hands!

And as I always say: “I have turned my Passion for Champagne into my Dream Job!!! It's just the beginning of a long and beautiful journey”
