BLANC DE BLANCS

A "Blanc de Blancs" Champagne refers to a wine made exclusively from white-skinned grapes! In the blend, we can therefore find one or more white grape varieties such as Chardonnay of course, but also Arbane, Petit Meslier, Pinot Blanc or Pinot Gris.

These Champagne wines are all about finesse. They generally have a light and airy palate. They are bright wines, with a refreshing style, whose liveliness pleasantly awakens the palate and taste buds. These wines express the chalky terroirs that saw their birth. They are also marked by a sensation that is difficult to describe, which we designate by the term "Minerality". How to identify it? On the nose, we find aromas of flint. Among the notes that can evoke Minerality, we can also cite: Stone, Graphite, Chalk, Flint, Oyster, Shellfish... On the palate, it will translate into the mixture of two sensations : Acidity and Salinity. These Champagne wines are marked by a balance between citrus acidity and a light mellowness. As they age, they take on a creamy and velvety texture.

These wines have notes of White Flowers (Hawthorn, Honeysuckle, Linden, Acacia, Jasmine, Orange Blossom), Citrus Fruits (Grapefruit, Lemon), Exotic Fruits (Lychee, Pineapple) but also Apple, Pear and Spices (Anise, Ginger), and even Menthol notes. As they age, they will take on notes of Dried Fruits such as Hazelnut, Almond, Ripe Apple, Honey or Wax. As with other Champagne Wines, maturity will give them notes of Brioche, Fresh Butter, Biscuit or Toast.
